Following a class win at Sebring and a top-10 overall finish at Daytona in 1971, American racer and team boss John Greenwood set his sights on the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1972. With substantial backing from BFGoodrich, Greenwood's Corvette was unapologetically American, with a thundering L-88 engine and unmistakable Stars-and-Stripes livery. Though the Greenwood #48 was a DNF in '72, it was nonetheless instrumental in cementing the Corvette's status as a serious contender at Le Mans. Spark's 1:43-scale replica of the first Greenwood Le Mans Corvette is a must-have piece for serious collectors of vintage race cars and model Corvettes alike. It features Spark's usual high level of detail, as well as a perfect recreation of Greenwood's iconic paint scheme.
