Aston Martin V8 Vantage (1985) - 1:18 Scale Diecast Model Car

Sorry, currently out of stock

It was the proverbial iron fist in a velvet glove: the Aston Martin V8 Vantage, debuting in 1977 as what may have been England's first true supercar. Its numbers were overwhelming: 375 horsepower, 0-60 in 5.3 seconds, and a top speed of 170 miles per hour...numbers to challenge the fastest Italy could offer, only with plusher, more typically British surroundings. The mere fact of the V8 Vantage's existence is a minor miracle itself, with the car appearing only two short years after Aston Martin emerged from receivership and bankruptcy. So successful was the V8 Vantage's formula of ultimate luxury married to extreme performance that it would sustain Aston Martin as a going concern until the Ford buyout of the late 1980s. Long overlooked by the diecast model industry, the V8 Vantage has at last been given the premium 1:18-scale treatment by AUTOart, who have chosen to recreate the car in its later Series 2 version. As we have come to expect from AUTOart, not one detail has been overlooked...from its lustrous Cumberland Grey finish to its beautifully recreated BBS wheels, the 1985 V8 Vantage is perhaps the finest 1:18-scale Aston Martin ever produced.

SPECIFICATIONS: 1:18 scale (approximately ten inches in length). Diecast metal body, featuring opening hood, doors and trunk lid. Functional steering.

PERFECT FOR: Aston Martin enthusiasts. Model car collectors who crave exquisite detail. Those who believe the open road is best attacked with a beautiful hammer.
