Alfa Romeo Giulia TZ - 1:18 Scale Diecast Model Car
Though somewhat successful in small-displacement sports car racing in the 1950s, Alfa Romeo needed a more modern weapon to compete on the world stage in the 1960s. Working in partnership with race shop Autodelta, they created the 1963 Giulia TZ (for "Tubolare Zagato" in reference to the car's lightweight tubular space frame and coachwork by Zagato.) Featuring a twin-spark, 1570-cc engine and an aerodynamic Kamm-tail design, the TZ achieved enormous success on the race track, scoring class victories at Sebring, the Targa Florio, and most notably at the 1964 24 Hours of Le Mans. The delicate beauty of the Alfa Romeo Giulia TZ has been captured in 1:18 scale by the master modelers at AUTOart, featuring fine details such as an authentic shift boot, "Museo Storico" license plate, and of course, signature tube frame.
SPECIFICATIONS: 1:18 scale (approximately ten inches in length.) Fully opening body panels and functional steering.
PERFECT FOR: Vintage racing enthusiasts. Alfisti. People who know that the English didn't have a monopoly on the concept of "adding lightness."
