The long-stewing potential of Alfa's Tipo 33 sports racer finally came good with the introduction of the 3312TT in 1973. A tube-frame Group 5 racer, the 3312TT was powered by a new 3-liter flat twelve that produced 470 horsepower...more than adequate to motivate the 1500-pound spyder to blistering speed. Taking the 1973 season for development, Alfa's Autodelta-run efforts yielded a second-place finish in the 1974 World Sportscar Championship, before finally claiming Alfa Romeo's first ever World Championship for Makes the following year by winning seven races from eight starts.
TSM offer a beautiful 1:43-scale resin replica of the 1975 Monza 1000km-winning T33TT12, a key victory in in Alfa's championship year. As driven by Arturo Merzario and Jacques Lafitte, the T33TT12 featured prominent stabilizing tailfins and a high-mounted rear-view mirror, elements replicated faithfully by TSM. Their model also boasts delicately rendered interior components, crisp sponsorship livery, and very accurate race wheels.
