A French national treasure, the rear-engined Alpine A110 was produced as a low-volume sports car between 1961 and 1977. Lithe and agile, the A110 proved to be a formidable rally weapon in the International Championship for Manufacturers, forerunner to the WRC. The Alpine's signature victory came at the 1971 Rally Monte Carlo, when Ove Andersson and David Stone headed off strong competition from Porsche, Datsun and Lancia to claim the top step of the podium. This historic rally win is commemorated by Spark's new 1:43-scale replica of the triumphant Andersson/Stone Alpine A110 1600. Purposeful and beautiful, the Alpine's compact lines are captured with incredible accuracy by Spark, as are the car's prominent rally lighting and race livery.
