Audi Sport Quattro S1 (1985 Pikes Peak) - 1:43 Scale Model Car

Sorry, currently out of stock

From its inception in 1916 through 1984, the overall record at the Pikes Peak International Hillclimb was held by a succession of open-wheel, rear-wheel-drive specials built solely for the purpose of covering 12.42 miles and 9,000 feet of ascent as quickly as possible. In 1985, however, history was rewritten, when Audi's factory World Rally Championship team flew its monstrous Group B-contending Sport Quattro to Colorado to make an assault on the hill. Driven by French ace Michele Mouton, the 450 horsepower rally car clocked at time of 11 minutes 25.39 seconds, shattering the course record by 13 seconds and establishing all-wheel-drive as the layout of the future at Pikes Peak. It also represented the first overall victory in the event by a female driver, a mark that stands to this day.

To commemorate Michele Mouton's historic victory at Pikes Peak, Spark have released a beautifully detailed 1:43-scale resin replica of her winning Audi Sport Quattro S1. Resplendent in Audi's factory livery, the Spark Quattro features fine touches such as intricate basketweave wheels, a raised "quattro" emblem on the rear window, and even a driver figure with accurate helmet design.

SPECIFICATIONS: 1:43 scale (approximately four inches in length). Resin body, features no opening parts. Fixed-position steering. Comes with acrylic dust cover and display base.

PERFECT FOR: Rally enthusiasts. Audi fanatics. Those who know that a woman's place is on the top step of the podium.
