$ 120.00

Certain vintage race cars transcend existing as mere machines to become historical artifacts. Such a car is the Ferrari 250TRI/61, serial number 0792TR, an automobile that was driven by a veritable "Who's Who" of early 1960s sports car racers. It made its competition debut with Scuderia Ferrari at the 12 Hours of Sebring in 1961, where Phil Hill and Oliver Gendebien took the scarlet spyder to overall victory. The car then transfered to Luigi Chinetti's North American Racing Team, where it saw action at Le Mans in the hands of the Rodriguez brothers. Next, the car was sold to Count Giovanni Volpi's Scuderia Serenissima race team, and was once again victorious at Sebring in 1962 with Jo Bonnier and Lucien Bianchi at the wheel. #0792TR's competition log would also include drives by Graham Hill, Dan Gurney and Nino Vacarella (among others) before its eventual retirement...and even then, it found itself in celebrity hands as it joined the esteemed collection of Ralph Lauren.

As gorgeous as it is historically significant, Ferrari 250TRI/61 #0792TR is celebrated with a premium-quality 1:43-scale resin replica by Looksmart. Appearing here in its 1962 Sebring-winning configuration, the Looksmart 250TRI features photo-etched wire wheels, delicately crafted velocity stacks, and a highly detailed cockpit to create a magnificently detailed tribute to one of the 1960s greatest sports racers.
