From 1954 to 1966, motorsport's biggest party was the annual Nassau Speed Week, when the world's top teams descended on the Bahamas for seven days of racing and debauchery. The week's pinnacle event, the Nassau Trophy Race, saw works race teams battle it out with their most potent equipment. In 1960 and 1961, American legend Dan Gurney claimed the Nassau Trophy at the wheel of a lithe Lotus 19 Climax, a car now honored with a limited-edition 1:43-scale resin replica by Spark. Exquisitely detailed even by Spark's high standards, the Gurney Nassau Lotus boasts accurate Arciero Brothers team livery, delicate roll bar, and masterfully hewn race wheels. Scale models of Nassau Trophy-winning cars are hard to find, so serious collectors of historic racers should not miss this opportunity to add a fine specimen to their fleet.
