The 1970 Monaco Grand Prix was a race of attrition, as a succession of first-place runners would retire with mechanical issues. The race was won on the last corner of the final lap, when Jochen Rindt in his Lotus 49C would pass a skidding Jack Brabham to claim Lotus's fifth victory at Monaco, along with the final Formula 1 win for the vaunted Lotus 49 chassis. The win would prove to be an important step towards Rindt's 1970 World Driver's Championship, though tragically, one he would claim posthumously after losing his life during practice for the Italian Grand Prix later that year.

Representing a true liminal moment in Formula 1 history, the 1970 Monaco GP-winning Lotus 49C of Jochen Rindt is now the subject of a beautifully crafted 1:43-scale resin replica by Spark. Featuring an uncommon level of detail, it boasts a visible miniature Cosworth DFV with intricate exhaust headers, complimenting the lustrous red "Gold Leaf" livery and triple-element rear wing.
