The 21st-century renaissance of legendary Italian carmaker Maserati was led by the MC12 supercar and its racing variant, the GT1. The latter would dominate international sports car racing for half a decade, capturing the FIA GT Manufacturer's Cup in 2005 and 2007, along with five consecutive FIA GT Teams' Championships from 2005-2009. The MC12 GT1's final, and perhaps greatest racing achievement was victory in the Teams' and Drivers' Championships in the inaugural season of the FIA GT1 World Championship in 2010. It is this final, championship-winning MC12 GT1 that Autoart has captured in 1:18 scale. Resplendent in the livery of Vitaphone Racing Team and drivers Michael Bartels and Andrea Bertolini, the Autoart model features removable bodywork to expose the intricate detail of its engine bay and ductwork. A large, impressive piece, the Maserati MC12 GT1 is a must-have for collectors of international GT racing scale model cars.
