The great Jackie Stewart described the Matra MS80 as the best-handling Grand Prix car he ever drove, and his results in the 1969 F1 World Championship season would bear this out. Featuring advanced aerodynamics (including first a strut-mounted "high wing" and later a safer, body-mounted wing) and powered by the venerable Cosworth DFV 3-liter V8, the MS80 would capture five wins for Stewart from ten starts, yielding both the Driver's and Constructor's World Championships in 1969.
New from Spark is their 1:43-scale resin replica of Jackie Stewart's landmark Matra MS80, presented in wingless configuration as it appeared in victory in the 1969 Italian Grand Prix. As one would expect from a vintage F1 car by Spark, detail is outstanding, with a brilliantly executed engine and gearbox, and flawless French Blue finish.
