Though the 1967 Sebring 12 Hours endurance race will be remembered mostly for the victorious debut of the Ford Mark IV and its epic battle with Jim Hall's Chaparral wing car, Porsche's works-entered 910 coupes very quietly put together a stirring performance of their own, outlasting bigger-engined competition to take third and fourth place overall while cruising to a 1-2 finish in the 2-liter prototype category...a significant step in Porsche's evolution from small-bore hero to eventual domination of the top categories of international sports car racing.
New at Model Citizen is a pair of beautifully detailed 1:43-scale resin replicas of the works Porsche 910 coupes from the 1967 Sebring 12 Hours, by Spark. Presented here are the 3rd-place #36 car, driven by Scooter Patrick and Gerhard Mitter, and the 4th-place #37 entry of Jo Siffert and Hans Herrmann. Each car features an exactingly sculpted body and faithfully recreated racing cockpit, set off by beautiful paintwork and finely crafted race wheels. Collectors of historic Porsche racing should not miss the opportunity to add one or both of these limited edition models to their 1:43-scale paddocks.
Note: Pricing is for each individual car.
