As Porsche shifted its focus to its 908 and 917 programs for the 1969 World Sportscar Championship, its two-year-old 907 prototype became a favorite of privateer race teams. Among them was Escuderia Nacional C.S., whose 2.2-liter 907 piloted by Alex Soler-Roig and Rudi Lins would score a highly credible fourth-place overall finish in the 1969 Sebring 12 Hours, bested only by John Wyer Racing's mighty Gulf Ford GT40 and factory entries from Ferrari and Porsche. This important footnote in Porsche racing history has been commemorated by Spark's outstanding limited-edition 1:43-scale resin replica of the Escuderia Nacional C.S. 907 Coupe.
