Scale model cars are an important storytelling device. They give us a visual representation of what matters to us as car enthusiasts…a sort of shorthand. They allow us to display wordlessly the stories that forge our passion. Maybe you want a model on your desk of the car you drove on your first date with your future spouse, or maybe you want to fill a display case with a model of every car to ever win Le Mans.
Whatever story you wish to tell, Model Citizen wants to help you tell it. We will continuously curate a selection of the world’s most significant cars in scale. We will focus relentlessly on quality, both in the cars we offer, and in the service we provide. We want to be more than just a model car dealer, we want to be a valued member of the enthusiast community. Like you, we are storytellers too.

Model Citizen seeks to educate and inform about the stories behind the models, both to help new enthusiasts grow in their appreciation, and to build a greater sense of community among veterans in the automotive hobby. Our founder, Patrick Strong, has been a collector and dealer of fine scale model cars for over thirty years, and hand-selects each model that we carry to reflect his demand for precision detailing AND for compelling stories.

What is your return policy?
Model Citizen prides itself on offering a flawless, desirable product, but we understand that sometimes a customer may not be 100% satisfied. To that end, we offer a 30-day 100% money-back guarantee on any item that is returned due to damage or defect, less return shipping charges. All other returned items are subject to a 15% restocking fee.
From what location do your models ship?
All of our model cars are held in inventory in our office in El Segundo, California, USA, and ship from this same location. We prefer to hold items in inventory rather than drop-ship, as we feel it offers us an extra level of quality control over the products that we sell.
What shipping options are available?
Our merchandise ships using either USPS Priority Mail or UPS Ground, depending on the weight of the order. International orders, where available, ship using USPS International First Class or Priority Mail. Please contact us with any specific shipping inquiries, such as territories not covered by current shipping options, discounted shipping for multiple items, or expedited shipping services.
How much is shipping, anyway?
If you're in the lower 48 United States, it's free. That's right, FREE. For Alaska, Hawaii, and the rest of the world, prices vary depending on location, but we try to offer the lowest international shipping rates possible.
