Though similar appearing to the preceding G-Series 911, Porsche's new-for-1990 964-generation 911 was reportedly 85% all-new. Updates included a new 3.6-liter flat six, coil suspension and anti-lock brakes, along with an improved climate control system, creating a modern sports car that still retained the charm and performance of Porsche's classic flagship model. Now recognized as a classic in its own right, the Porsche 964 Carrera is now available as a highly detailed 1:18-scale diecast model car by Norev.
