    The Nissan Skyline GT‑R (1973) represents the second generation of Nissan’s legendary GT-R lineage. Nicknamed the "Kenmeri" Skyline after a memorable television ad campaign, it followed the dominant Nissan Skyline 2000 GT‑R (1969), which famously dominated Japanese touring car racing.

    Powered by Nissan’s 2.0-liter S20 inline-six, the new GT-R promised similar performance. However, the 1970s global oil crisis and Nissan’s withdrawal from motorsports brought the program to an abrupt end. Only 197 Kenmeri GT-Rs were produced, making it one of the rarest GT-Rs ever built.
