    WHAT MAKES THE MCLAREN F1 GTR (1996 BPR GT) SO SPECIAL?
    Top-level Italian touring car racers Team Bigazzi SRL fielded a pair of McLaren F1 GTRs in the Silverstone round of the 1996 BPR GT Championship in preparation for their full assault on Le Mans. Driven by F1 veteran Jacques Laffite and sports car ace Marc Duez, the Fina-liveried #25 McLaren would have to settle for eleventh place overall following an off-track excursion by Laffite. Despite finishing outside the top ten, the Laffite/Duez McLaren F1 GTR remains a memorable part of the thrilling BPR GT landscape.
