    WHAT MAKES THE MCLAREN F1 GTR (TEAM BIGAZZI) SO SPECIAL?
    Following the dominance of the McLaren F1 GTR in the 1995 edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the 1996 running might be considered "Porsche's Revenge," as Zuffenhausen's finest claimed the top three finishing spots. The McLaren, however, remained competitive in its second year at Le Mans, taking six of the top eleven places. Among them were the factory-backed F1 GTRs of Team Bigazzi SRL, featuring a star-studded roster of drivers including Nelson Piquet and Danny Sullivan. Bearing BMW's famous FINA livery, the Team Bigazzi F1 GTRs would take 8th and 11th place in the '96 race, becoming an important part of McLaren's Le Mans story.
