WHAT MAKES THE MERCEDES-BENZ C111/II SO SPECIAL?
Beginning in 1969 and continuing through the 1970s, Mercedes-Benz created a series of concept vehicles under the C111 nameplate, prototypes that pointed to the way to a future of cutting edge performance behind the three-pointed star. Arguably the best known of the four C111 variants was the 1970 C111/II, a gullwing-doored supercar powered by a four-rotor Wankel engine capable of pushing the vehicle to a top speed of 186 miles per hour.

DOES THIS MODEL HAVE OPENING PARTS?
