    The European Ford Escort Mark II is a rally legend, winning the RAC Rally five years in a row and carrying Bjorn Waldegard to the 1979 World Rally Championship. Inspired by its highly successful rally car, Ford offered a high performance version of the Mark II Escort, the RS 2000, beginning in 1975.
